Tuesday March 4th The first meeting of Streetly Local History Group will be held from 10 - 12.at Blackwood Road Library to discuss how the group will be set up, future speakers, and subjects of interest. Everyone welcome. Tea and coffee available.

Tuesday 4th March 2008- Jean Draycott - The restoration of Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens
A presentation by Streetly Horticultural society.
Meetings are held at Streetly Community Centre, Foley Road East, Streetly at 7.45 pm.

Wednesday 12th March St. Annes Church on Bridle Lane holds a coffee morning
A regular event held on the second Wednesday of each month from 10 - 12. Everyone is welcome regardless of religious denomination. Come and have a chat and find out what is going on in your neighbourhood.

Wednesday 12th March the Walsall Welfare Rights Team invite local residents for a coffee and chat to discuss carers' benefits and other financial matters at St Annes Church on Bridle Lane, from 10 till 12.

Tuesday 18th March Streetly Womens Institute has a 7.30pm meeting at Streetly Community Association and features a presentation about 'Spring Plant Arrangements'.

Tuesday 18th March 2008 6pm – 8pm Public community Action Group meeting, where South Aldridge and Streetly residents get to ask questions and find answers to local issues:
The venue is the Aldridge Community Centre.

Wednesday 19th March 2008 Streetly Local History Group meeting from 10 - 12 will take place in Streetly Library on Blackwood Road. Everyone is welcome. Please bring along any details which we can start to archive - they don't have to be typed or spelt correctly - just legible! Also let us know what you would like to discuss ie; history of local pubs or perhaps a particular school or road. If you can't attend this meeting pop any details you may have into the library and the staff will pass them on. Evening meetings will be arranged too. Streetly Local History Group held its' first meeting on 4th March 2008
It was a very well attended and lively meeting. A small group of people agreed to help organise future events. Many thanks to everyone who gave this meeting their support and took time to bring so much interesting information and photographs for everyone to share.

Saturday March 22nd Aston Villa supporters Av5 Bus Service AV5 provided by Travel West Midlands will pick-up at Aldridge's Elms pub two hours before kick-off before stopping at the Hardwick Arms, followed by Compton Road bus stop, opposite Farmer John's pub. The drop off location will be outside Villa Park. The bus will then collect passengers 300 yards up from the Holte pub in Witton Lane, 30 minutes after the game, and return travellers to their original stops. The price of a Villa Special return is £3.00 (no concessions). We advise fans to pre-book their seat by contacting the consumer sales department on 0800 612 0970.

Monday 31st March is the next meeting of your local council Neighbourhood Partnership. It will be held at Aldridge Community Centre at 7.00pm.
