Streetly Sports Club is the home to Cricket, Hockey and Bowls. Rambling club walks varying from between 6 and 14 miles in distance are organised on a weekly basis and take in many beautiful countryside walks in the surrounding counties, including Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

North Birmingham Judo Club holds classes for adults and children at Streetly Youth and Sports Centre, Foley Road East on Fridays and Sundays. Learn judo and jujitsu in a friendly and relaxed club taught by a Judo 3rd Dan and the current British Jujitsu Champion. A Ladies Class is held at 2.30pm on Tuesdays at Streetly Evangelical Church, Egerton Road. (term time only). We sing choruses, have a speaker, and conclude with tea and biscuits.

Wednesday, Over Twenty Club meets at the Streetly Community Association, Foley Road East, from September through to end of May, from 8.00pm - 10.30pm. For further details contact Ken or Barbara on 0121 580 8102.

Watercolour Painting Group held every Tuesday afternoon. Class tutor Colin Clifton. Colin and his wife Doreen are both artists working in oils, acrylics and watercolour, and love traditional paintings. Colin generally concentrates on landscapes covering subjects from many areas in the United Kingdom. He studied at Birmingham College of Art and is currently a senior member of the Lichfield Society of Artists, where Doreen is also a member. His work is sold through several galleries. Streetly Singers This small , well known group of 18 men and women meet together to sing on Tuesday evenings. They perform about six concerts each year, mainly modern popular theatre repertoire. All fees earnt at these events (some £2,000 plus annually) are donated to local charities. The singers would welcome new members especially tenors and basses. Sutton Park Probus Club. Are you retired but not 'over the hill'? Our club meets monthly at lunchtimes to listen to a speaker and enjoy good company. Birchfield Cycling Club meet every Friday evening for a social chat about all things cycling, for venue details please Contact Colin on 0121 358 6768. A short history of the Birchfield Cycling Club,the club was formed in 1879 two years after the well known Birchfield Harriers and from the same area of Aston where Villa park now stands.There has been contact with the Harriers over the years when grass track cycle racing was popular but not in recent years. Our club has met at streetly for the last 25 years or more, although we have fallen foul of public liability insurance and have recently lost our club room and are currently looking for somewhere new to meet in the local area. Our usual sunday cycle ride is 50 miles to a number of cycle friendly cafe,s and a possilbe pint of bitter on the way back, we can cater for all ages starting at 14, however, 5o miles is alot for younger children but we can do shorter rides for any youngster who seems very keen ! We meet at the Hardwick Pub on the Chester rd at 9.00am on most Sundays, but a phone call is advisable to Colin 0121 358 6768 or 07976713227. As a club, we take part in Tuesday evening time trials through the summer months, which involves riding on your own against the clock for distances of 5--10---25 miles and maybe even further for anyone who is really keen. Friends of Blackwood Park is a small group of residents and park users who take an interest in all aspects of the park, ranging from improvements to play areas to anti-social behaviour.

Jogging group for beginners meets weekly (term time only) on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Run with a qualified female instructor. Don't waste any time . Shift those pounds. J.P.Line Dancing for all ages. Why not join our line dancing classes. Line dancing is fun and energetic and will improve your stamina and co-ordination. You don't need a partner. We meet in Streetly on Monday and Wednesday afternoons and on Friday evenings.

SIMPLY PILATES with Diane Harrold is a slow form of exercise done both standing and lying down, which can help with back and shoulder problems, posture and balance. There are several weekly classes in Streetly. 'Phone Diane on 01922 454705.

Body Control Pilates classes with Jo. It improves you posture and flexibility, strengthens your core muscles, lessens aches and pains, helps with back problems, is suitable for both males and females, first time exercisers and pregnant ladies. Streetly Local History Group meets monthly. The group was set up in March, 2008 and already has betwen 30 - 40 regulars at its meetings. Talks so far have included staff from Walsall Local History Centre looking at old maps and photos of the area, Brian Wheat recalling boyhood memories on Hundred Acre, Keith Henney looking back at the history of Streetly Youth Club, Ivor Thompson and Streetly Works, and an extremely amusing talk by Bob 'The Bottle' Burton. If you have any information or photos which could be used or any memories to share call Colin on 0121 353 6365 or, better still, why not come along to one of our meetings. Tea and coffee are always served.

St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church holds a coffee morning on the second Wednesday of the month. Come along and make new friends and find out what is going on in the area. Open to men and women of any denomination.

Streetly ACC Men's Keep Fit meets weekly on Thursday evenings.

Streetly Solitaire Club meets every Wednesday at Veseyans Sports and Social Club, Little Hardwick Road at 8.00pm. It is open to single adults of all ages and status. Members can chat over a drink then take part in a game or quiz in a relaxed environment, and can also join in regular days out, theatre trips, holidays, walks and meals out. Streetly Disabled and Senior Citizens Association meet at the Red Cross Hall,, Blackwood Road, Streetly on the first Monday evening, 7.30 - 9.00pm, and the third Wednesday afternoon, 2.30 - 4.00pm. There are currently about 40 members. Annual subscription is £5.00 and charge for each meeting is £1.50 including tea and cakes and a raffle ticket.

Streetly Ladies' Club regular meetings held on the first Thursday of each month at All Saints Church, Streetly at 2.30pm. We support local charities and have regulaar speakers and outings. New members always welcome. Contact 0121 353 3527, or 0121 353 1627 or 0121 308 6259.
